Bright Flowerpot Trio Card

What is required to make this card:

  1. A6 White Card Blank (used tentfold style)
  2. Woodware Large Lever Craft Punch – Plant Pot
  3. Handmade Mulberry Paper – Light Blue
  4. Handmade Mulberry Paper – Light Pink
  5. Handmade Mulberry Paper – Pale Yellow
  6. A5 Glitter Pattern Paper Pack – Turquoise/Pink
  7. Tiny Decorative Flowers Mixed Colours
  8. Satin 5mm Ribbon – Light Blue
  9. 3mm and 6mm double sided sticky tape
  10. Craft Glue
  11. 5mm Sticky Foam Pads
  12. Craft knife, pencil, ruler, cutting mat & sellotape

How to make:

Take the mint green silk paper with the turquoise glitter design on it from the A5 glitter pattern paper pack and cut a rectangle that measures 48mm high x 147mm wide. N.B. The width needs to be the exact width of your card blank, as sizes can vary slightly it is a good idea for you to measure the card blank you intend to use to check the size.

Use 6mm double sided sticky tape on all four edges of the back of the glitter pattern paper rectangle and then using the card blank tent fold style stick the paper to the bottom of the card blank.

Cut a 155mm length of the satin blue ribbon, fold enough over each end to make the ribbon strip the exact width of the tentfold card blank. Glue the ends in place, this gives the ribbon neat tidy ends and avoids fraying.

Apply a strip of the 3mm double sided sticky tape all the way across the card blank directly above the glitter pattern paper. Carefully stick the ribbon strip to the double sided tape taking care to keep the ribbon straight.

Use the plant pot craft punch to punch out a flowerpot shape from all three handmade mulberry paper colours – light blue, light pink and pale yellow.

Take three blue flowers, three yellow flowers and three pink flowers from the pack of tiny decorative flowers. Use some sellotape to secure the stems of the blue flowers to the back of the blue flowerpot and do the same with the yellow and pink flowers securing them to the yellow and pink flowerpots.

Use some sticky foam pads to stick the flowerpots in a row above the blue ribbon strip and use a dab of glue behind each flowerhead to stick them to the surface of the card blank.

Pink Vase Roses Birthday Card

What you will need to make this card:

  1. 7″x5″ Card Blank White
  2. Woodware Super Lever Craft Punch – Vase
  3. Pearlised pink card
  4. A5 Glitter Pattern Paper Pack – Turquoise/Pink
  5. Miniature Rosebuds – Pale Pink
  6. Small Full Open Roses – Pink
  7. Organza 7mm Ribbon – Bright Pink
  8. Stickles Glitter Glue – Pink
  9. Happy Birthday Peel Off Sheet – Diamond Pink
  10. 6mm double sided sticky tape
  11. Hi-Tack Original All Purpose Very Sticky Glue
  12. 5mm Sticky Foam Pads
  13. Craft knife, pencil, ruler, cutting mat & sellotape

How to make this card:

Take the light pink with silver swirls sheet of paper from the A5 glitter pattern paper pack, measure and cut out a rectangle that measures 126mm x 90mm. Stick a length of 6mm double sided sticky tape on all four edges of the paper and stick it to the bottom half of the card blank.

Cut a 25cm length of the bright pink organza ribbon. Next cut a 126mm length of double sided sticky tape and stick it to the back of the ribbon approximately 8cm in from one end taking care to keep the ribbon as straight as possible. Fold both ribbon ends over and stick to the back of the double sided tape. You should end up with a double thickness of ribbon with neatly folded ends and a join at the back 4cm in from the right hand side. Use another 126mm strip of double sided sticky tape to stick the ribbon strip to the card blank directly above the pink glitter paper.

Cut a 22cm length of the same ribbon and tie it in a bow. Use craft glue to stick the bow to the ribbon strip approximately 4cm in from the right hand side so it covers the join. Trim the ends of the ribbon bow as required.

Use the super craft punch to punch a vase shape out of the pearlised pink card.

Arrange 3 of the full open pink roses and 5 of the pale pink miniature rosebuds into a little bunch, trim the stems and gently bend the stalks until the flowers are arranged how you want them and all the flower heads are facing forwards. Use some sellotape and/or craft glue to secure the stems to the back of the card vase shape.

Use sticky foam pads to attach this vase of flowers to the card blank just above the ribbon strip on the left hand side of the card blank.

Remove a Happy Birthday wording set from the diamond pink happy birthday peel off sheet and stick them to the card blank to the right of the vase of flowers. Use a ruler to ensure the words are straight.

Use the pink stickles glitter glue to draw some random swirly designs on the vase and leave the card blank flat for the glitter glue to dry.
