Glitter Christmas Tree Card

Sticking with the Christmas theme, here is a really bright glittery Christmas Tree card.

Glitter Christmas Tree Card

What you will need to make this card:

  1. A6 Luxury Pearl White Card Blank
  2. Pearlised white card or Plain white card
  3. Dreamweaver Stencil – Christmas Tree
  4. Stickles Glitter Glue – Green
  5. Stickles Glitter Glue – Red
  6. Gold metallic marker pen
  7. Season’s Greetings Peel Off Sheet – Gold
  8. Double Sided Sticky Tape
  9. Light box, masking tape & embossing tools
  10. Craft knife, pencil, ruler & cutting mat

Instructions how to make:

Measure and cut a 120mm x 85mm rectangle from the pearlised white card. Place the stencil on the light box and secure in place with some small pieces of masking tape. Place the card rectangle over the stencil lining it up so the image will be central and secure that in place with more masking tape. Switch the light box on and trace around the stencil design with the appropriate size embossing tools for each section pressing firmly but taking care not to slip. When finished carefully remove the masking tape and turn the card over for your embossed Christmas tree design.

Using double sided sticky tape on all four edges of the embossed card rectangle stick it to the front of the card blank leaving a space at the bottom for the peel off sentiment.

Place the Season’s Greetings gold peel off sheet onto your cutting mat and using your craft knife carefully make small cuts to separate the word Season’s from the word Greetings so they can be used separately. Remove the separated wording from the peel off backing sheet and stick along the bottom of the card blank as shown in the picture.

Using the gold metallic marker carefully colour the star and pot sections of the embossed image. Allow to dry.

Using the green stickles glitter glue carefully colour the tree sections of the embossed image and using the red stickles glitter glue carefully colour the baubles on the embossed image. Leave the card flat in a safe place to dry for a few hours.

Contemporary Christmas Tree

It is never too early to start making your Christmas cards!

This is a very simple contemporary design Christmas tree card which we think is really quite effective.

Contemporary Christmas Tree Card

What you will need to make this card:

  1. A Cream 7″x5″ Card Blank
  2. Pearlised Gold Card
  3. Pearlised Red Card
  4. Metallic 5mm Ribbon – Gold
  5. Dark Green Die-Cut Christmas Tree (or the same tree can also found in the Christmas Theme Embellishment Pack).
  6. Mini Round Gold Brads
  7. Mini Die-cut Gold Star
  8. Stickles Glitter Glue – Red
  9. Merry Christmas Peel Off Sheet – Gold
  10. Double Sided Sticky Tape, Glue & Sticky Foam Pads
  11. Craft knife, pencil, ruler & cutting mat

Instructions how to make:

Measure and cut a 127mm x 85mm rectangle from the pearlised gold card and use double sided sticky tape on all four edges to stick this to the bottom of the card blank.

Cut a 127mm length of the metallic gold ribbon and glue this at the top of and slightly overlapping the gold pearlised card section. You can cut the ribbon slightly longer and fold the ends under before glueing it to prevent fraying if you wish.

Cut out a pot shape from the pearlised red card, the pot should roughly measure around 15mm high x 20mm wide at the top and 10-11mm wide at the bottom. Use sticky foam pads to stick the pot in the centre of the card above the ribbon as if it is standing on the ribbon.

Leaving room for drawing the glittery tinsel at the end, push 5 mini round gold brads through the dark green die-cut Christmas tree and bend the brad prongs back behind the tree ensuring no ends stick out. Use sticky foam pads to stick the Christmas tree to the card blank as if it is planted in the pot.

Use a tiny sticky foam pad or cut a pad down to stick the mini die-cut gold star to the card blank above the Christmas tree.

Remove a Merry Christmas wording from the gold Merry Christmas peel off backing sheet and stick it to the centre of the gold pearlised card section.

Finally use the red stickles glitter glue to draw a tinsel pattern onto the Christmas tree between the brads. As the Stickles glitter glue has a fine detail nozzle, to make each tinsel strand thicker we’ve used two lines directly next to each other. Leave the finished card flat for the glitter glue to dry thoroughly.
