If you want something just a bit different for your Christmas cards then this classy blue and white snowflake design is perfect!
What you need to make this card:
- A6 White rectangle aperture card (double fold)
- 6 x 3cm White Satin Material Snowflakes
- Dark Blue Handmade Mulberry Paper
- Merry Christmas Peel Off Sheet – Diamond Silver
- Trees & Snowmen Peel Off Sheet – Pearl Glitter Silver (for the stars)
- Dark Blue or Black Cotton
- Double Sided Sticky Tape & Foam Tape
- Craft Glue
How to make this card:
Glue two of the white satin snowflakes together trapping the end of a length of cotton in the middle. Repeat this step two more times until you have three sets of glued snowflakes. Leave to dry.
Using the card tentfold style (landscape), use a strip of double sided foam tape to stick the top ends of the cotton attached to the snowflakes to the back of the aperture so that the snowflakes hang down in the aperture window at varying lengths. Apply more strips of foam tape along the other three edges of the back of the aperture. This does need to be foam tape to allow hanging space for the snowflakes.
Cut a rectangle of the dark blue handmade mulberry paper large enough to cover the back of the aperture. Stick the rectangle to the double sided foam tape. Then use double sided sticky tape to stick the outer card panel over the back of the central aperture panel covering the back of the aperture.
Use random stars from the pearl glitter silver trees & snowmen peel off sheet to stick around the top and sides of the card and also stick a few stars to the handmade mulberry paper backing in the aperture. Alternatively you can use silver stars from any peel off sheet of your choice.
Finally apply Merry Christmas wording stickers from the diamond silver Merry Christmas peel off sheet to the bottom edge of the card blank.
