Material embellishments in metallic and satin finishes have been used on this Christmas card design for a modern trendy look. This card is very easy to make and quick to replicate if large quantities are required.
Materials list:
- Slimline (A5 tall) white card blank
- Woodware super square craft punch
- Blue mirror card
- Silver pearlised card
- Material reindeer – metallic silver
- 3cm material snowflake – white satin
- 1.5cm padded material star – metallic silver
- Silver ribbon bow
- Dark blue stickles glitter glue
- Hi-Tack original all purpose very sticky glue
- Decoupage/precision scissors
- Sticky foam pads/tape
- Pencil & ruler
Directions:
Punch out two silver pearlised card squares and two blue mirror card squares using the Woodware super square punch. Attach the punched card squares to the slimline card blank with sticky foam pads, starting with a blue square at the top, then silver, blue and finally silver at the bottom. Use a ruler to line them all up straight if necessary.
Using the pencil on the reverse of some more of the silver card draw a funky Christmas tree shape that measures approximately 3.5cm tall x 3-3.25cm wide. Cut the tree shape out using the scissors.
Use the dark blue stickles glitter glue to randomly dot small blobs all over the silver side of the tree shape like baubles. Leave the tree shape to one side to dry.
Next use the Hi-tack very sticky glue to attach the silver reindeer to the top blue square, the white snowflake to the silver square beneath the reindeer, leave the next blue square blank for now and lastly attach the silver star and ribbon bow to the bottom silver square as shown in the picture.
Finally, once the glitter on the tree shape has dried, use sticky foam pads/tape to attach the tree to the empty blue square that was left blank earlier.
