Silver Snowflake Card

This is a really effective modern looking Christmas card and looks great using the different textures of a material snowflake with card/paper.

Snowflake Card

Items you will need to make this card;

  1. Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Pro or GROOVY Card & Box Maker
  2. Pearlised Silver Card
  3. Woodware super duper square craft punch
  4. Woodware super snowflake craft punch
  5. Pearlised white card
  6. Silver Card
  7. 3cm white satin material snowflake
  8. Christmas Greetings Banners – Silver/Gold on White
  9. Hi-tack very sticky glue and sticky foam pads (optional)

How to make:

Make an A6 sized pearlised silver card blanks using the Ultimate Pro, the GROOVY card and box maker or a similar card making tool.

Use the super duper square craft punch to punch a square out of the pearlised white card. Using glue or alternatively sticky foam pads for a 3D raised look, stick the square onto the card blank positioned in the top centre of the card.

Next punch a snowflake shape out of the silver card using the super snowflake craft punch. Again use glue or sticky foam pads to stick the snowflake in the centre of the white card square.

Take the 3cm white satin material snowflake embellishment and use glue to stick the centre of the snowflake to the centre of the silver card/paper snowflake. It works really well if you just glue the centre of the material snowflake and leave the prongs free. The white material snowflake has 5 prongs and the silver card/paper has 6 prongs but it looks great if you line the top vertical prong of both snowflakes up as shown.

Lastly use glue or sticky foam pads to apply a greetings banner along the bottom centre of the card. We have used a banner with the wording ‘SEASON’S GREETINGS’ from the ‘Christmas Greetings Banners – Silver & White’ pack, the banner pictured is silver foil printed onto pearlised white card.
